windshield frame

My friend Tom Kaufman and I have been discussing an addition to the roll bar, to act as a windshield support.
Attaching to the frame below each windshield corner, and following the windshield frame up and around. than put a single support at the center from the windshield frame to the center of the roll bar. So it would look like a "T" top with out any body parts attached.

This would give add strength to the windshield, as well as helping an OLD man get out of the car. Your thoughts please. GRAYGHOST

I've been thinking about something like this too. That windshield frame is flimsy and worries me just going in a straight line, let alone in a rollover situation. Now that I've go-karted, I'm more and more wishing I would have done what Tamra and Andrew did which is to go with the R version and drive it on the street and the track. Just a lot more safety built into the frame. Can always add it to the S frame but is a lot of work.

I know Brunton offers a frame option like that but they use 2 bars between the front and rear, if that means anything to you.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure I've seen someone that uses 2 "C" shaped supports between the front and rear hoops. If you were looking down at the car from above, you'd see 2 C's butted up or close to each other in the middle (1 C is backwards) and the ends would be tied in near the corners of the front and rear hoops. I hope this makes sense. It seems like an improvement over provided no support at all at the corners at least.
