Long story short, my unbuilt MK4 came with a bunch of braided line, all of which was in various lengths with crimped AN6 hose ends. I re-arranged the setup since I did not need a high pressure pump or a return line. I was able to utilize all the precut pieces, and the attached crimped fittings, except for the in and out at the low pressure electric pump. I tried the two or three varieties of hose ends I had hanging around, but nothing fit, so I just cut and used worm drive clamps. BIG MISTAKE. The lining under the braid is a spiral corrugated plastic and will not seal with hose clamps. Now, my dilemma is finding out what I have for line so I can buy the appropriate hose ends. The liner is black spiral corrugated plastic, not teflon, and has a fabric sleeve over it, under the braided cover. If anyone can suggest what brand it is, I can get the right ends.

Does it look like this?

You can find it here: https://www.hosecraftusa.com/model/TC1_PTFE_Convoluted_Braided_Hose

For the low pressure side, you can use rubber power steering hose and hose clamps.

Thanks, Bob. My focus is to find a fitting that fits this hose. The car is completely plumbed except for attaching the hose to the fuel pump. The hose I have is similar to what you showed but the inner liner is dark gray.

Take it down to your local hydraulic store. They should have everything you need, and should be able to assemble the hose for you.
