Hey all,

Sourcing some completion stuff and sourcing spindles,

In the Mustang 5 lug spindles used from 1994 to 2004. The 1994 and 1995 spindles located the steering tie rod arm 1.02 inches higher than the 1996 to 2004 spindles.
Which provides the best steering geometry when used with a 87-93 steering rack?
I'm thinking the 96 to 2004 - looks closer the the FFR two piece spindle offering.

Cheers!

Actually the 94/95 spindles (doglegs) also move the hub about 3/8" in toward the body compared to the 96+ versions. This allows a wider front tire to fit under the body for the supplied wheels.

Otherwise, I believe the outer tie rod connection location has minimal effect on steering geometry.

Excellent information - thanks!

'94/'95 provide better geometry in regards to bump steer.
