Has anyone had the idea of attaching headrests to the outside roll bar so as to prevent whiplash I am thinking of making a pipe clamp with head rest cushion that would fit both side roll bar tubes?

Yes, plenty of people have them.

I'd been looking for a head rest I liked for a long time and found these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cobra-Roadster-Head-Rest-fits-Factory-Five-and-others-1-5-and-2-0-diameter-/151950704554?hash=item2360f7bfaa:g:81EAAOSwI~VTzW8 i&vxp=mtr)on Ebay last year. It looks better than most I've seen and I feel more secure knowing my head has some padding between it and the roll bar. The downside is you need to remove the roll bar to install it.

Check the other forum. Someone makes them but I can't remember who.

A gentleman in Galt was making them and I got his last set.

They use an aluminum plate attached to a pair of motorcycle mirror stalks. The foam is attached to plywood with the leather stabled to that. They are attached to the X-brace from **********.

If you want some closeups, let me know.
