I am finishing off my rear end and need to decide if I have to use the stock tin backing plates behind the stock rotors. I know the plates offer a bit of protection but are they required or did you leave them off with no serious problems resulting? Thanks all. My 33 should have been completed last weekend. Waiting to ear from Stewart about delivery date.
