While testing my front wheels I noticed they wouldn't sit correctly on the rotor(the rotor is from late model restoration 5 lug conversion kit), at first I thought they were hitting the dust cap, so took that out, no luck, removed the wheel hub, no luck, looked at it and saw two options:
1) Get a set of spacers, but this would mean I would have to replace the rotor bolts, they would be too short after an spacer.
2) Grind the center of the rotors almost all the way to the outside bearing.
I went with #2 and it now fits like a dream, no concerns other than I cant have a dust cap now(wheel hub should take care of this anyway).
Did you also run into this, how did you fix it?
Here is a pic of the rotor after the grinding.

You aren't the first to experience this. Sounds like you dealt with it but for future builders:

I feel your pain, I put in longer studs and used spacers before i got in touch with Dave and Jim. They are aware of it for sure. I think you make 3 that I know of unless some got their wheels and didnt test fit them yet.

Yep, hopefully fox spindle folks realize before mounting the tires and throwing away the boxes.

Ya, when the UPS truck arrived they never hit the floor, went right to be mounted and put on. Wish I would have tried them before mounting to save the mounting and balancing fee but maybe FFR will work something out. Life goes on, the trials and tribulations of a car builder huh?

My third new option
After getting in contact with Jim he offered to replace the wheels, after doing numbers it would cost me $250+ to get the tires off, new rotors and tires back on, this assuming I would bring them to ffr during open house. After that I would have to wait for the new wheels to arrive, based on what I'm seeing that might take a long time.
So I'm going with option #3, I will pick up sn95 spindles/rotors/brakes from eBay for a little more and use the wheels I have, this way the $250+ would go towards an upgrade of some sort and not just towards getting dust caps on.
Anybody has a set that would like to let go for a friendly price? Please pm me if you do.
Also please let me know if I'm missing something, I have the tubular lower control from ffr, there should be no fitment issues, I think. I believe I'm good on research this time 94-95 set only f4../f5.. serials only right?
