I failed to look at the extra clearance hood when I had the chance. The standard hood has the structural ribs up the center which will interfere with 2 of 3 intake options I am considering. Before I trim the hood can anyone tell me if the bumped hood has the structural pieces around the perimeter of the kick up?
Thanks

I believe it has none. The one I saw on a friends ride is kind of silly in that it has the bump located at the front of the hood and the height over center of his motor (sbc) is same as stock. Look carefully before you invest in optional hood.

Thanks, I didn't like the look of the bump originally so I never checked it out. I can use the original iron manifold with no issues, but I'm playing with some other intakes. It won't hold me back long.

By "perfectly good engine" I assume you mean a blown Hemi, anything else in that category?
No surprise that you and Glenn noticed this car within just a few hours.
