If you are looking to own an 818 but do not have the time to turn a wrench, limited space to build or you just want instant gratification (like I do) this one is for you. Customize to your liking, pick a color and make it your own. Pro-built so you can trust it, add your final touches and you have a little rocket for the summer.

Donor build with 83K miles on 2002 donor (new clutch, timing belt and accessories all replaced).
F5R upgrade steering wheel
Also has carbon defusser and chnards
Body work professionally completed and ready for wrap or paint.
High-end aftermarket seats.
Very nice stereo with hidden sub under dash.
JL Audio
Back up camera
Ruff racing wheels with new Hankook Evo 12 tires.
Wired and prepared for seat heaters
new brakes, calipers and slotted/vented rotors.
Cup holder
USB and lighter plug/charger
Wiper kit installed
trunk kit
Rear carbon spoiler
Professionally tuned by SMG (tuned to be a very safe but a very fun toy) roughly 265hp

Again very well built and wonderful to look at. Will make a fantastic addition to ones car collection.

Price $16,590 (which is exactly $10,000 less then I have in the car).

WOW with prices like that, I will never sell mine. No way you can buy all the parts for that much.

I agree. This is priced, ahem, VERY attractively! You must really want it gone NOW! Too clean of a build for the money IMHO.

Good luck with the sale!

Thx guys. Thinking about doing a Hot Rod. I got to enjoy the orange 818 for a year and after trying a Hot Rod I'm thinking it will be great to try a 3rd version of Factory Five fun. This is definitely priced to move. I found a Hot Rod at about the same state that looks like a winner. Buy this deal of a century!

*Dave you saw this car, it was at the open house last June.

An absolute steal, if someone is interested in building an 818 you can not finish it for what this car is selling for, it will cost you 25-30k painted and done minimum.

I would not be interested in a trade for another 818, thank you though. I just want a hot rod now :-).

What does the F5R community think? Should I get it professionally painted and re-market raising the price to reflect the cost of the paint job. Will a painted car make a difference in selling this car? Let me know your thoughts please.

IMO paint, stance and wheels make a car. I can't say you would recoup the cost of paint but it would make the car stand out better IMO. The 818 is a hard resale for some reason. This is a very fair price and a very nice car. Making them completely legal to get titled and inspected is a big deal, IMO.

I would get it on nasioc, even if it takes you 5 or 10 posts to be able to post it to their for sale thread. EBAY should be able to bring the money you are looking for. Set a reasonable reserve on it and let it go. Or you could just wait until June or July for Barrett Jackson when they come to Mohegan Sun and have it roll across the block.

If sold by the 28th of February I will pay for shipping anywhere in the country or I'll take $800 off the price. It is killing me no one wants this car, truthfully I don't understand it. It is more then $10,000 less then it can be built a basic by the book build for and I have sooooo many extras.

If it is "relatively" easy to cage it to something similar to an R configuration that passes NASA/SCCA tech I am interested. I'll look into what that would require. I'm thinking along the lines of an MX-5 halo style cage. If I buy an R I would be putting in the halo anyway, although it would obviously be simpler to start with an R.

Kalstar
02-12-2016, 01:27 PM

Kalstar
02-13-2016, 08:40 PM
Frederic944 As I stated before, It does in NH, however I live in Massachusetts (we have a second home in NH). I have only titled it, I have not registered it. As I said I will assist in buyer in titling in their state if required.

Kalstar

I still have the car and full payment, however the buyer is looking to have the car tittled in Massachusetts and the state is a bugger. So easy in other states, but not here. If the sale falls through, I will let everyone know. There is nothing wrong with the car it is just that my State only has one inspector and the appointments as well as the paperwork from him are extremely slow coming to fruition.

For whatever this is worth, here is the issue I ran into with buying it, hopefully it can save someone else a bit of time.

The transmission is not original, and there is not receipt for it, or title going with it (was pulled from another car to replace the donor trans). Donor trans is available, but would have to be swapped into the car, titled, and then swapped back for the replacement. I would love to have still taken the car but couldn't justify it with the extra hassle of two tranny swaps on either of our ends (both of us are pretty busy).

Best of luck. It was in a trailer when I looked at it, did not have the ability to remove from trailer or take it for a drive but it started up and ran well. Been sitting in the same spot on those tires for a long time, body looks to be in good condition.

Balzak
12-22-2016, 11:40 AM
So to title/register it in your state the drivetrain needs to all be from the original donor? I am looking to purchase it and title it in Texas which I believed to be fairly easy. Could this not be the case?
