I'm upgrading from a 302 with Edelbrock RPM heads to a Ford Racing 347 stroker crate motor with the Z heads, I am concerned about exhaust port height and openings, and problems with the body cutouts, etc. Has anyone done this conversion using the standard 302 FFR 4 into 4 headers...are there spacers required or available..? I hate the thought of new pipes along with the cost of the engine, as I just got them all mated up to a new set of Gas N sidepipes when the 302 block cracked!!!
Someone said there are engine mounts that will lower the motor a bit also, but cant find where they are located online.
Also if there are any takers on this, did you have any issues with the Z head ports themselves matching up to the FFR pipes...
