As a new member, I feel it is a requirement to post an introduction. As a forum Moderator on a completely different type vehicle I could do nothing less that introduce myself.
Hello, my name is Joey I am in my mid 40's and have been interested in the Cobra Roadster for years to say the least. I have been researching several manufacturers and Factory Five has always been right at the top of the list. I have yet to decide if I want to build my own or just buy someone finished project that they have decided to move on from.
I hope to learn a lot here and learn better what I am looking for. I do know I like the idea of the Ford Coyote 5.0 engine and from what I have read the Factory Five is the only Replica currently set up for this or at least with info on their web site.
Welcome what ever you decide you will find it here

Hello Joey, I'm just south of you in Hamersville, Ohio. I was just perusing the member list to see if there was anyone else nearby building an FFR car. Mine is an 818 C, which I've been working on for the past 15 months. We should meet up sometime and compare notes about builds. Good luck on yours.

Welcome To The Forum Joey,
I too looked at other manufacturers since Factory Five doesn't support the installation of a Small Block Chevy in their Roadster, FIA or Type-65 Coupes. After doing a ton of research and even going to a couple of other kit car production manufactures facilities I knew that Factory Five Racing was the only company for me so pulled the trigger and ordered my kit, which was delivered in the 1st quarter of 2015.
My recommendation is to order the manual, look at the assembly videos, weigh your options and finances before you pull the trigger. Also, consider contacting several of the experts on this forum like Edwardb, Erik Treves, Jeff Kleiner, Gordon Levy, David Hodgkins because these guys are great and know their stuff.
Edwardb has two build threads that are both MK-4's, but one is traditionally powered while his latest creation is Coyote Based. If you want to go to the Dark Side and do a SBC build, then look at www.gpsconnection.com and reach out to Randy Jones because he's our SBC Guru and is a personal friend of Dave Smith as well.
Anyway, good luck and I hope you build your dream car.

Yes, I Love The Factory Five Racing & Their Support Team Even If They Aren't Fans Of Bowtie Motors!
