2.0 Coil pack differences

Does anyone now the difference between a 22433AA421 and a 22433AA451 coil pack?

Opposed forces shows the 421 for April00-October02 and 451 for July02-July05

I was under the impression that all 2.0 turbo coil packs were the same.


Mach-V lists one part for 02-05 as well.

I would expect them to be functionally identical but I'm not positive. I looked up those two part numbers (respectively) on the site I usually buy subaru parts from and got the following compatible results:

22433AA561 &
22433AA551

Thanks, I'm assuming the same, just old part numbers. new coating or plastic or something, someone mentioned the color changed from black to grey.


just bought 4 new ones. Under $50ea shipped. MY DD is breaking up under high boost and I'm just going to do them all and plugs and be done with it.
