After modifying the supplied Ford Coyote electronic throttle as per the FFR instructions I find the leverage just too difficult to modulate the amount of throttle even on my lift it is hard to hold a steady speed and the foot clearance is not enough for my size 12 feet.

Has anyone used a Lokar Electronic throttle or some other make?

Because I'm using an AODE trans I think I'm going to modify the brake pedal and get it to the left about an inch or so, has anyone done any mods to get more space between the pedals?

Happy New Year!

My experience with the Coyote is limited because the build is still underway, and it's a Roadster build. But still can maybe provide some input. Yes, several have used the Lokar DBW module and pedal. It's a very nice piece and much more compact, and with an adapter cable works fine. But everything I've read or heard says it doesn't add any technical improvement. Plus it's quite expensive IMO. I had one as a back-up plan, but tried to make the stock piece work. I agree with your observation that the FF mod makes the pedal pretty short and space is tight. I tried to address both of these issues, described in my build thread starting here.

Maybe this can provide some ideas. Good luck.

There are a coupe people who have used a drive by wire pedal out of either a ford van or a fiesta. These pedal assemblies are much more compact than the mustang one. May try searching the forum for something along those lines as an alternative. I used the crate motor supplied one and didn't chop it like FFR suggests. Rather I cut off 2/3 of the bottom of the pedal intended for your foot. No modulation issues as it preserved the factory throw.

Good point. I forgot about that. It's from a 2014 Ford Van. Forum member 2bking told me about that, and is what he used.

Yeah, and its like $70 or something like that. Not the $500+ for the Lokar one...

Thanks, I found 2bkings solution and I think I will investigate that route due the cost!

I have the Ford electronic throttle and Wilwood peddles (brake and clutch) and initially found them too close together. The Wilwood peddles allow you to move the foot pads left and right which got me enough room. I have not found the throttle to be too touchy.
