View Full Version : Coupe Fog Lights

I started to fit the front nose and the fog lights do not seem properly sized. The light bucket is 5" diameter at the bottom and 5 3/4 " diameter at the outer edge. The fog light provided by FFR is 3 1/2 " diameter and looks pretty wimpy. I contacted FFR and they said the 3.5" light is all they provide. Interestingly, I don't think the mounting method will work as the light bracket mounting holes are 1 3/4" on center, and the round nose brackets have welded perpendicular supports that are 1 3/4" on center. Thus, a hole drilled using the light bracket as a guide would interfere with the bracket structure. When I asked why all photo's of the coupes have the light bucket "filled" with a larger diameter lights, I was told that those lights are from an 87-93 Mustang GT donor. Has anybody found a better approach to this debacle? I appreciate any help or suggestions.

I used the Mustang GT Fog lights.

FFR started supplying fog lamps when the supply of donors dried up. If you want the larger units, they're all over the internet for about 30 bucks each.

Thanks, Rob, that's the look I want. Did you have to do any modification to the bracket or did you "through mount" to the nose hinge bracket?

Joe,
The bolt on the light is "T" shaped and the mounting bracket below the light has some movement to it. I would have to look, but do not think or remember going straight through the back of the bucket, but rather mounting out the top or bottom. I did run two bolts through the back to attach the bracket to the nose.
