I'm building a 33 for a costumer and he wants the 6R80 trans. Has any one used this in the 33 yet? I am wondering about the electronics. any advice would be appreciated. Thanks ,MIKE with AZ Mobile Plastics

Baumann (US Shift) and Performance Automatic have both said they are releasing 6R80 stand alone controllers and had info at SEMA but neither have them listed as a product on their websites yet. The 6R80 has an on board computer so it is not as simple to control as the previous electronic transmissions where the external controller was connected directly to the servos / solenoids. If you call either can you please post info here as I will be in the market for one later this year. Thanks.
The 6R80 trans appears to have a high torque capacity and there are quite a few drag race Mustangs running sub 10's reliably with the stock trans. Once a controller hits the market I think they will become a nice option.
