Hi everyone, we are going to a custom made fuel tank and we need the oem connectors that we cut off in accordance with the manual for the original 818 tank. Anyone still have them and know where to find them? We would greatly appreciate it!!!

I used mine since I went with the new FFR tank that re-uses the OEM pump assembly, but I needed a boost control connector since someone previously spliced into mine really close to the plug. I just searched NASIOC for complete car part-out, PMd like 5 people and one responded with it. That would probably be the fastest way unless you have a good pull-a-part junk yard near you, or another forum member comes through.

Thanks Hindsight. I'm hoping someone will have one left over from using the old gas tank. We would be happy to pay, if someone is willing to look.
Thanks

I already sent mine to someone that was in the same situation as you are or I would have sent you mine, sorry about that

Tamra and Andrew-
Why not go with some nice WeatherPacks (http://www.weatherpack.com/)over the OEMs? They better connectors, and if you have to splice one that you don't have on anyway, might as well be an upgrade.
I have them and I think they do a really good job, even when wet/submerged.
Edit: but if you need, I can cut one out of a junkyard car for you next time I'm at a yard. I'm sure it'll be like $1.50 or something. Do you have a local yard?

I designed our new front mount fuel cell around the OEM fuel pump oval flange. Using that one solved the problems of making a flange, and providing a through-bulkhead electrical connector set.
Not sure about local yards. Some of them deff don't have much in the way of subarus. We unfortunately need the internal & the external connectors, so we were hoping someone had them spare from the first gen kit/tank.

I did a quick and dirty look with no luck. Lemme look a little deeper and see if I can find mine.

I might still have mine as I never throw away any parts until build is complete. I will check when I get home

Thanks for looking, guys. We really appreciate it. I thought we kept all of our wiring, but I looked through the spare wiring box three times and couldn't find the connectors.

I'm sorry Tamra, I have bundles of the unused wire but can't make heads nor tails to match up to those connections. Between my original wire chopping and then the iWire job I'm lost in a rats nest of wiring.

I'll check my pile of wires since I used the Boyd tank. My donor was an 02 so I probably have the ones you need. The way I understand it, you're looking for two connectors (2 pin for the sender and 6 pin for the fuel pump/fuel temp/second sender) that plug into the connectors you have shown in the photos, right? Would that be R58 and R59?

Check with Brian at iWire, they might have what you need.

External: 6pin for fuel pump power, sender, temp.
Internal: 2 pin for fuel pump power

I prob have what you need, call me stupid but I am not sure what plugs you need, guessing the factory plug that connects to the factory pump setup. I guess your using the factory setup in a custom tank??I have many Subaru wire harnesses, so I think I got one.
On a second note, wire the pump to its own relay and fuse and run in off ign or switch, disconnect the factory wiring and fuel controller. This is a much better method for fuel control and works far better for tuning etc.

I found your 6 pin connector and verified that it hooks up to the connector in the second photo. It's on a small harness that connects to all of the EVAP stuff like the charcoal canister and purge valve. I didn't find anything that looked like the 2 pin in the first photo.

Brian we may take you up on that if we can't find a solution here on the forum. I'd rather not cut up a perfectly good wiring harness if we can just steal what we need off of an already chopped up harness. However, we will probably drive up there soon to get some 2002 WRX axles from you, if you have any.
STIPWRD - hmmm that's good to know. We have the charcoal canister harness ON the 818 because we needed it for inspection... I didn't think about checking the wiring harness on the car for the plug I needed, I only looked through the boxes of deleted stuff. Let me look tonight to confirm that it isn't there. Also thanks for the reminder that I can diet that too.

The connector that Tamra pictured isn't quite right- it's the one FFR has you cut off, to install the one pictured.
It plugs into the "inside" of the fuel tank flange to supply power to the pump.

Then chances are I have that as well. Just let me know.

Hey I cut off the white connector from the harness and the fuel pump wiring comes off the pump housing. These are the ones you want correct?

Just wanted to give an update and say thanks for all the help! We received the connectors (thanks STIPWRD) and are on our way to completing our fuel tank!
