Started on the ABS install over the weekend! welded mount to frame, ripped out all of the brake lines, ran rear lines forward to ABS, rewired ABS connector moving Pin10 to Pin6, removing pins 20, 24, 34, 39 (I couldnt figure out at first how to take them out, if there was a tab you had to press down, so I ended up yanking on the wires real hard from the back and they came out.)

Parts used for FR500S ABS (pics of install (http://www.johngeorgeracing.com/gallery/index.php?/category/79))

Plumbed all of the brake lines and masters to/from ABS module this weekend, even bled the brakes! Found I had to remove caliper from rotor, and lower it as much as flex line would allow to get air out of system. Also started on the wire harness for abs sensors.

I love this writeup!

I think from the content I can find, the latest prices are a bit different - I put them in a spreadsheet...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PIVTY_anI9TgMwU3YWl4dIv-41j2souuBfiwLRhvlTM/edit?usp=sharing

looks like ~$630 to set up ABS if the HCU can be found - there are several online... the M-2353-A is nearly impossible to find anymore though.. but designed for slicks at the track, maybe not what everyone needs anyways...

who all has done this setup? i think ABS is a great option!

I have ABS on my build following this writeup by John George. My car isn't driving yet so I am not sure how it all worked out.

The one thing I am not sure about is the rear sensors. I believe the 2015 sensors are electronically different than the ones he used on his rear brakes.

I think the rears are correct, haven't fit them yet but they look like his photos
the fronts however look different

and my setup with BRAB291 part as listed above

update - had to drill a few extra holes to align the different sensors than Russ' brackets are made fore - I missed this in @Johngeorge's pics... here's a pic of the aligned ABS sensors built for the '05-09 FR500 setups

Hey Toadster and other ABSing folks, what's the latest thinking on "best" ABS module for our roadsters? Having a hard time finding the 2C353-AB control module. Are there other part numbers for it, or other modules folks have tried that might work?

On Mustang forums I've seen chatter like this:

How does the FR500S & C differ from the S197 unit?

The FR500C and FR500S units were both specifically calibrated to those cars, on race tracks, with the correct suspension and tires. It is a pure race tuning that doesn't have any of the compromises found in street car ABS.

Which makes me wonder if this is all just going to be "better than nothing" but finding an ideal is a pipe dream? Anyhow, it's making me a little braver to try something farther outside the box, provided I could still disable the ABS when needed.

Also, in my hunting found this nice thread, our friend johngeorge posted a little more info here:
