I am starting a build using 2001 Mustang Cobra parts. I am uncertain how to mount the front end lower a arm to the new shock assembly. The manual doesn't give me enough detail. Does anyone have pictures? Thank you.

In a nutshell you have to remove the shock absorber mount from the donor car's rear axle (it is the loose part to the right of the control arm in the photo below), open up the center hole in the LCA for coilover clearance and then drill the arm and bolt the shock mount tab to it. The manual will give specific dimensions in the "donor parts preparation" section.

Thank you Jeff. In looking through the Base Manual on pages 54 and 55 dealing with the prep. of the lower control arms, the only dimension I see is to drill a half inch hole for the shock mount. I assume the small curved portion of the shock mount rests on top of the control arm?

Thanks Jeff. I didn't see dimensions in the manual on pages 54 and 55 other than to drill a 1/2" hole for the shock mount. I assume the small curved piece sticking out of the shock mount rests on top of the lower control arm?
