The manual shows a lip to mount the rear truck lid that does exist on my bumper. Where/how did others mount the pin if they had no lip?

Can I see a pic of yours? I had the tabs.

Just make brackets and bolt them where you want them. The tabs were too tall anyway, I cut mine off.

There should be a pair of aluminum tabs in the zip lock bag with the other small aluminum parts.

I was wondering what those were
This is the screwiest kit I have ever seen. Parts with no instructions, instructions with no parts
Thanks

My kit, #86, had both the aluminum tabs and the molded in ones. Must have been during the changeover or something. I'm not going to use either however because I find them too flimsy. The aluminum tabs just mount to the lip of the rear bumper and stick out like the fiberglass ones did. So, If you need a bit of force to hold down the corners of the trunk lid, like I do, they flex too much. I'm going to make a plate that attaches to both the bumper and fender lips. That is one of the final things to do on our list of odds and ends to finish up.

Bob I'm at work and don't have access to the tabs to take a pic right now. I do remember Wayne posted a pic of a a simple looking plate he made that attaches to the bumper and side sail like Larry mentioned. I can't find the pic on my phone right now.

I don't have those in kit 230. I have fiberglass tabs (which are terrible)

I think they did metal if they accidentally cut them off the fiberglass bumper when trimming...;)

They use robots to do the trimming I thought.

Robots make mistakes too you know!

The robot definitely didn't cut my left side panel the same as the right. I have almost no fiberglass to put a pin on my right side and extra on the left.
