Just for giggles, has anyone ever gotten one of the non-powered ones to actually work? I have LEDs in the back and incandescent in front. The hazards work in the front only and the turns don't work at all. I'm switching to the powered version but I'm just curious about other's experiences.

I smoked a El Cheap O that I got off ebay. Next I went to NAPA and got a Hopkins and so far it's hanging in there. (Both were non-powered.) The weird thing is, I Can't Get The Hopkins to Work With LED taillights! The LED bulbs do all kind of stuff, and even tried different LED bulbs. I'm running Both Bulbs off the Converter (2 Right and 2 Left).

Let me know if you get the Powered version to work with the LED's!

Using one in mine. Works fine. Make sure you change out the flasher relay with one that works with the LED lights. The standard one did not work for me

Yes, you need to change the relay or put more of a load on the circuit.

I fiddled with my under-construction wiring and kept the non-powered converter in for now (I'm waiting for the powered one to arrive). Here's what I have:

The turn signals work fine. Both fronts and rears work as intended. If I apply the brake, the rears light up and the appropriate side continues to blink. BUT, if I use the hazard switch, only the fronts work UNLESS I apply the brakes, then the rears start to work. I'm stumped.

Sounds like an internal issue with the converter.
