Anybody used the CNC remote brake fluid reservoirs lately (pic below)? Any issues with leaking due to weld porosity at the bracket attach location? I see that in at least some instances the manufacturer is putting a coating on the inside of the reservoir to prevent leakage. Seems like a bit of a band-aid solution and if they're still doing it I'll probably spend a bit more for an all-billet alternative. TIA for any info.

There was a big debate about this a few years ago on the other forum. Included statements from the mfg that the material used was 100% compatible with brake fluid, etc. The reservoirs I have in my completed Mk4 were one of the subjects of the debate, and has the coating. I've had brake fluid in them for 2+ years, and on the road for one complete season. No issues. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Thank you - appreciate your feedback. Not sure what I'm gonna do. One alternative is shown below. Basically the same design (and the same footprint) as the CNC reservoir but machined from billet. About $50 more, too.

I find that I'm accumulating quite a pile of parts from the kit that for one reason or another I've decided not to use.

I assure you Karlos, there is definitely a market for all those unused/cast-off parts. i.e: I'll be starting a build soon and will be looking for a bunch of things, as I'm sure many others are. After building so many Jeeps over the years, I know exactly how you feel. Hard to replace a usable part sometimes, but often piece of mind is more valuable than the extra $50 here, $20 there....
