Lost my pouch a couple months ago. Im looking to replace her with a male german shephard pup .I'm looking for a black and red or black and tan saddle back.I'm looking for a dog for my pet. I'm not looking for a high drive working dog or a high dollar german import. Roger

Roger, Julie and I always adopt rescues. There are so many unwanted animals out there, we now try to do our best to rescue rather than buying a pet. Your local shelter probably has plenty of young dogs. If your patient, you'll find the one you're looking for. Search the internet for a Shepard rescue in your area.

Definitely what Frank said. I got a 2 year old female from a local rescue and she's been a great shepherd. She was abused, but after some training and time, she turned out to be an awesome dog. I found a local German Shepherd rescue and they had a lot of dogs looking for owners. Sorry about your loss, it's hard losing a good dog.

Your both right. You can find a really great dog at a rescue group.I visited my local animal shelter today.I've had 5 GSD over the years ,one of them was a rescue dog. He was one of the best dogs I've ever had.The last two dogs came from a well known breeder. All his dogs are imports. The first one was so sick we had to put him down at 15 months. They replaced him 5 months later with a new pup.He ended up far worst than the first. The only thing he did not have that the first dog had was hip dysplasia. He had such a bad temperment that I was afraid for him to be around kids, people, and worst of all my wife.both dogs had allergys to about every thing on this planet. The last straw was when he went after my sister in law that he's known all his life and that turned around and started acting like he was going to bit my wife. After 5 years We had enough. I had him put down. No more high dollar imports. All of my other dogs were great with people ,animals, kids, and were healthy. Roger
