Aftermarket TPMS?

Anyone have experience with aftermarket tire pressure monitors? I was looking at one this one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ZZEG38O/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_263_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=414o8CNMiSL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL100_SR100%2C100_&refRID=1PZ8N3F8WPCSEDFKNBNW) which also displays temperature which could be helpful at the track. Thoughts?

Looks like a high quality system with great documentation. I did not see any prices on the weblink. Can you give us a "ball park" system price?

the accuracy/consistency is not that great for tuning purposes, but might be good for major tire deflation/about to get a flat data.

For 3k its accuracy better be pretty good.
Technically, I don't know why it would not be good.
Measuring the air temp in the tire can tell you that each tire is doing the same work.
You need temp across the tread to verify toe, pressure, and camber settings. it does not do that.

Skip it not worth it unless you really want to log temps, I feel money could be used for far better parts. Check pressure the "old fashion" way works just fine to me.

Pressure good to .1 psi, temp good to 1* C. High end race car stuff, but it works great in a street car. Just bring your wallet.

I'm in the group of checking it the regular method. With this light car I bet you could almost run with very little air pressure with the stiff side wall of the low profile tires.
But my biggest reason is the slippery slope of all the cool gadgets. You can spend that much on gauges for the engine and I feel would be better money spent.
Of all the builds I am thinking we are all well into the 25k range and still building. But hey it's only money right??

Check with Fobo brand. They have some wireless systems that give you reading at each tire through a cell phone app. I don't know how durable but they are used on atv's and cycles. Prices are $200 + range.

OK, the last post here was several years ago so I'm hoping there is more on the market and more folks have found solutions. Anyone that can share a TPMS solution for our cars that doesn't plug into a cigarette lighter?
