I am not sure how to post to these sort of boards, so maybe this will work, maybe not. I received a kit last Sunday (Nov 30) and bought a 02 Mustang GT donor over the summer. It is already torn down (by a "recycling center" in Oakland) and all the parts appear to be present. I am relying on a son and other collective wisdom (I hope some is nearby) to put this together. Like most of you, it represents a long time dream/goal. I am in the midst of inventorying the boxes which is difficult given the fact that there are many parts that are unfamiliar to me. Anyway, this weekend I am putting up a portable garage for my wife's car and removing the body from the frame. Baby steps. I am disappointed that the manual does not seem to show donor part installation, only new stuff. Ditto the FFR videos. Maybe there is a better source out there.

Welcome and congrats on your new kit delivery. Which manual do you have? Base kit or complete kit? The complete kit manual is intended for a new build. At least for the Mk3, the base kit manual did have a lot of donor instructions.

You're right, the videos are only showing a new build. While I think they're well done, their value is more to provide a sense of what the various build steps look like. Especially for those not familiar with a build. They're not detailed enough to be a true instructions source IMO.

Hey there!

I live in Sandy if you ever want to come take a look at completed MkIV for reference, need a hand, or just need to bounce some ideas off of someone. There are quite a few roadsters in the valley here. Good group of folks...

Thank you. It is comforting to have a MkIV so close. How to I make contact with you outside this forum? I don't see any private info anywhere for good reason I guess. Did you use a donor or a complete kit?

Hi Mark,

I sent you a PM with my info. I'd rather not post it for public view. Check your inbox on the forum at the top where it says "notifications".

I built mine with the complete kit.
