I finished my pedal box install only to notice an issue... the clutch has about 3/4" of travel, that's it. All the holes line up correctly.
I've highlighted the two parts that are hitting with red lines below.

Should I take a notch out of the Clutch's arm? Any other ideas?

Thanks for reading!

I notched mine. But you can contact FFR and there is a different pedal you can use. IMO they should have fixed this problem long ago.

I'm having the same issue...does anyone happen to have a picture of the different pedal that can be used?

I'm personally not aware of a different pedal. That you would want to use anyway. The genesis of this problem from a couple years ago is a thinner cast aluminum pedal that Wilwood used initially. There were several instances of it breaking. Near to the top, above the pivot. There are pictures around of those that broke, but kind of ancient history at this point. The solution from Wilwood was a beefier forged part, except now interferes with the frame. I too am surprise/disappointed that FF hasn't solved this problem. Seems like any easy enough fix. What I've heard from others is they say you don't need the movement beyond the point where it interferes. That the frame acts as a natural stop for the pedal. Again, this is second hand, but I don't agree. There have been numerous threads about this, mainly on the Roadster forums. Usually it ends up a debate about whether to notch the pedal or notch the frame. I'm in the frame notch camp. I've done it twice. Others with more engineering smarts than me claim the pedal is more than strong enough to accept the notch. Either way works. Other guys with welding skills (that wouldn't be me) have done some nice work cutting a notch on the one side of the 3/4 inch tube and then boxing it back in.

This is how I've done done it with a solid bridge, a plug in each end, and bolted through. Couple hours work.

Hi David,

edwardb has good info above. I started to notch my arm but changed my mind and notched the frame with a sawzall. IMHO you don't HAVE to cut the whole frame, although the mod above looks clean.

Here's how I marked/cut mine, and the result. I didn't box it in, I just cut the tube and filed the cut edge:

Real quick, and not to get the thread off topic, but what's not to like? They do what they're supposed to do and work fine. All the kits are designed for it, so basically a drop-in. If you want a hydraulic clutch (many do) they're designed for it. The only slight downside is they are designed to be manual brakes. Fine if you aren't planning power brakes. If you are, though, mods are required and you lose the balance feature. But then a Mustang pedal box doesn't have a balance feature either.

Coupe 601 not have a problem with the clutch cable adjustment is ok just need to run out (adjust) the cable, my problem seems to be brake adjustment. Front brakes are locking up, after go kart run adjusted balance bar and after 2400 mil3w front brakes locked up again. Anyone else had the dame problems? suggestions?

Thanks for the input, if doing a hyd. clutch should a person just buy the assm from wilwood? Didn't know what else ffc included in their kit? Their clutch quadrant is a nice piece but trying to acquire an '09 doaner car and don't think I'll need it.

Make sure you get a large enough Clutch master cyl. I used a 1 1/8" from Wilwood on my Coupe.

Good thought, what slave/ trans did you use? It looks like my wife's roush Track pak clone is going to be a total loss So we'll be buying that from the insurance and marrying it to the coupe. '09 3v 4.6 with an M90 supercharger
