For Sale: 2005 WRX Donor Engine

I received this engine with my purchase of an 818 kit plus donor parts.

Donor car was a 2005 WRX turbo (EJ20).

I know nothing about it's history, mileage, etc.

I believe it is in working order, as the donor car appears to have been in a collision & stripped.

No guarantee, warranty, promises, etc. You are buying it just like I did (but I didn't even get to see a picture...).

Only what you see in the pictures (plus the cat. conv. & pipe not shown) is included- but NOT THE TRANSMISSION.

There is no intercooler with the engine, but I have a new replacement part that we can talk about...

Engine is in Campbell, CA, on a pallet ready for pickup/shipping.

I'm open to offers, etc., and I can use "a few more parts" for my build if you have interesting trades.

*I also have the full (I think it's all there) car/engine wiring harness, modules, etc. from the dame donor.

I would suggest providing compression and leak down numbers if you're serious about selling. Otherwise this motor is worth very little.

Fair enough. 'though I did note "open to offers"- maybe ranging to "very little". I am as serious as I get... I just want to move it (out, not around). I'll try get some numbers.

Are you sure it's an 05? My 05 has the later plastic turbo puke tank

I can't say I'm sure at all. My only info was from the purchase of "Complete 2005 WRX donor parts". There are 2 numbers I found on the block 28668, and 629643.

I did a compression and leak-down tests this weekend. Note that this was done on the cold engine as it has been sitting for a couple months on a pallet. Leak down numbers are averages of readings at 60, 80, 90 PSI.
#1: 150 PSI, 2.7%
#2: 150 PSI, 4.8%
#3: 155 PSI, 4.0%
#4: 155 PSI, 1.3%
