Hello,

Regulations here in Quebec, Canada requires SAE approved lights all around with side-markers...

Using the Camry headlight was great for this but now that you have made your own lights up front I have a few questions...

-are the projector DOT/SAE?
-what about rear lights?, 3rd brake light?

If it's not the case, is is possible to buy a 818C with the old front-end?

thank you

Have you tried calling Factory Five about this? I believe they can still make an 818C with the old front end (by request). If not, there are plenty of 818 builders that can sell you their old front end (including me) or just let you borrow the old front end to pass inspection.

Hello,

I just checked with the tech guys and the projector lights and rear brake lights are DOT/SAE. As for a third brake light our kit does not come with one. If you need a third brake light a lot of guys are using a license plate with a built in third brake light.

Greg, since you answered the SAE question, can you please tell us about aiming the headlights in the new 818 front fenders? The old fenders had a Camry light with only one adjustment screw, hence they could not be aimed correctly. To try to find a solution, I bought Spyder headlights because they have both vertical and horizontal adjustment screws. But, then I found that they could not be aimed correctly either because the Camry lights were rotated about 8 degrees inward in the Camry, but they are mounted level in the 818. It's a long question but since I, and others, have been down this path before , I want to make sure. . .
Can the headlights in the new 818 fenders be aimed correctly?
