Hey guys, I know there is already a 'tips thread' in the general discussions sub forum, but I thought it might even be more helpful to new owners to narrow some of that info by topics/systems. I may start some other 'tips' threads in some of the other sub forums. If we can gather enough info, maybe we could sticky it too.

What advice do you have for removal and prep of donor parts/wish you had known ahead of time?

What tools did you find particularly helpful/wish you had?

DIY electrolysis rust removal using a 5 gallon bucket, rebar, and a battery charger.

Label all wire harness connectors before gently laying the whole mess in a big box making sure you don't tangle or stuff it.

Clean the transmission with Eagle One etching mag wheel cleaner and a dish scrub brush, followed by simple green automotive.

Take pics of everything you won't need and post them on ebay or NASIOC.

I saw the electrolysis bucket in your build thread. Great idea I never would have thought of.
