Looking at the pictures from Sema I have a few questions for FFR, maybe someone here has the answers.
-what do you mean by removable? Can I convert a 818c to a 818s within a short time? Like 1hour? I don't understand how the top is sealed around the windshield...
-does the kit includes the 818s engine cover to make the swap?
-Will you supply some kind of firewall or bulkhead to prevent heat and smell from the engine to the cabin? Legislation here in Quebec,Canada would not allow a car without this kind of protection.
-Anyone knows if the windows would fit the 818S soft top?
Looks fabulous btw, great work!

I have an 818C and the windshield is structurally a part of the roof. You would have to have an 818S windshield to take the place of the one you are removing when you take the roof structure off. Since the one piece roof goes from the windshield to the rear bumper I guess you would have to buy the rear engine cover as well. Hopefully someone with more insight than me will reply to your question as well.

The windshield is part of the roof so the detachment point is the same as it is for the S windshield. In order to convert to an S to a C you would need the windshield frame and glass, the engine cover, and the rear decklid. I would estimate it to be about a 2 hour process to switch over, so more like a seasonal thing than just taking the top off for a cruise.
There is a panel with a window in it separating the cockpit from the engine bay, it was in the car at SEMA but it just might be hard to see since the windows were so dark. It is also a bolt on piece that is removed during the swap to a roadster.
The power windows do not work with the softtop but if they are left down the zip in windows for the top still will fit over the top of them.

Great, Thanks!
