I plan to use a 1971 302 in my 33. At sites like Jegs there is a large selection of mustang shorty headers by year and price. Because it is a kit will any year header fit?

The headers you want for a stock cylinder head 302 would be for a 1987-1993 Mustang. They are shorty style and are designed as bolt in replacement for the factory headers. Ford Racing, BBK, MAC, and many others make them in 1-1/2, 1-5/8, or even a few in 1-3/4 inch tube diameters. For a stock head 1-1/2 is a good size, I have that size on my car that came from JBA and have been happy with them.
