818 at NASA in Houston

I saw a white 818S parked outside Building 5 at the Johnson Space Center last week. Anyone here know someone who has an 818 and lives in the Clear Lake (Houston) area?

I might be building an 818, so I'd like to know of builders in the area.

That is probably the one I built, registered a year ago, and sold recently. The buyer lives/works in that area. I live in Kingwood.

Thanks, freds. Can you describe the process you went through to get it inspected/titled/registered? I had no trouble getting my Cobra street legal in 2009, but the laws have changed and the 818 isn't a replica, so I'm interested to see if there are any problems in getting one registered in the Houston area. Did you have to pass emissions? What year is it registered as? Etc. You can PM me if you don't want to post the details publicly.

Thanks, Lou. My dad is eyeing the 818 and really likes the C (so do I!). I told him that if he pays for it, I'll build it for him. I'll even let him help! He lives in The Woodlands, so maybe someday there will be another 818C running around up there with yours. I sent you a PM.
