Since I paid the tax on my donor to Massachusetts and I paid tax on my kit to Factory Five, does that mean I will not need to pay tax when registering my 818? I figure someone must have had to deal with this before.

Yes. You are correct. It cost me $135.00 at the registry to get on the road. Randy in Taunton went through a bit of a headache to get the registry to see thinks his way. In the end he paid the same that I did.

You will have to pay tax on parts bought on line for which you have not already paid taxes. I ended up paying taxes for wheels, tires, stereo and other miscellaneous things.

What IDF said only applies if you show the registry those receipts. Just don't show them.

That is correct, your donor had tires and wheels that you used on your build, RIGHT....
I'm sure that your car has only the parts from FFR that came with the kit, and the parts off the donor, anything else you would be required to pay taxes on (if you didn't buy them in Mass)
But then of course there's the excise tax
