Mid-Tour Trip To Visit New Friends

Just want to say thanks to Dan and Todd for showing me their Roadsters. Todd has just started his and Dan is all done and gave me my first ride ever. Have to say it was heaven. Todd and his wife cook us all BBQ Ribs and all the fixins. We talked Roadsters for hours and had a great time. I just have to say once again that the guys Ive meet here on the forum are true blue and this trip proved it. Todd and his wife and Dan and his wife envited me and my wife back up when I get back from Afghanistan in 4 months and I cant wait to see how far along Todd is. Oh and by the way Dan did his own paint in his garage and it looks perfect!!!! Once again thank you Todd and Dan for being such good friends.

Came home for R&R going back on the 18th, Todd and Dan live in Louisiana about 3 hours away. Was a great time, got some questions answered and got some good ideas from Dan's build. Some more pictures on my profile page.

Your first ride in a Roadster, is similar to your first love when you are a teenager. You never forget it, and it's over with all to soon..:D

I always wonder what the wives do, while the guys are all huddled in the shop talking cars? Do they talk about us, and what fanatics we are regarding our cars, or simply swap recipes, etc.?. I guess you hope like heck they get along, as they may be left on their own for hours togeather..lol:p

Thanks for the kind words Dave! We did have a great time and enjoyed you and Victoria being here with us. I look forward to your return and hope to have much more done to my car for you to look at by that time.

Bill, our wives hit it off and I couldnt tell you what they talked about, but they sure let us have our time with the car stuff.

I know Dan was happy that he was able to give you a ride in his Roadster. You keep your head down over there and hurry back and we will get together when you get back home.
