Well I have been thinking about making a custom dash. I have access to a 3D printer and scanner so I think I may be able to make a really cool set up not just a lame cluster of random round gauges.

Any ways! Can anyone tell me if the ABS sensors and ring found on the hubs are a magnetic type reader. One of the speed gauges I was looking at uses a magnetic type reader meaning it scans the ring as it spins based on the magnets speed the speedo will tell you the speed of the car.

The WRX ABS sensors have a magnet in them, and there is a metal tone ring. As the slots on the tone ring pass the magnet in the ABS sensor, it generates voltage. This voltage is sent to the ABS sensor and is used to determine speed.

That's what I thought it used based on what I saw on my hub. Thank you for your confirmation :D. Time to make a paper cluster for testing!
