The race this weekend at Sonoma Raceway was a success for the Factory Five Racing Prototype Development Group GTM Team.

We didn't get the car finished from the crash from two weeks ago until Sunday. We showed up and ran the second fastest qualifying time of the day on Sunday, but because they were combining the Saturday and Sunday times, we ended up 4th on the grid. For the first time this year I got a bad start and spun the tires. Happens when one is running couple year old DOT tires! Went into the carousel in fourth position and then passed a very fast Camaro going into turn seven. Wasn't able to hang with the leaders as they were on fresh slicks, but a fuel pump problem on the second place Camaro forced him to drop back to me and eventually be passed. I had nothing for the leader as he also set a track record during the race, but our second place finish cements the 2015 United States Touring Car Championship win for the FFR PDG GTM!

Gotta thank Jim Hausler, Richard & Yvonne Migliori, and all the volunteers that got us back running in just two weeks after a major incident that damaged the car significantly.

Also big shout out Baja Designs Lighting, Mendeola Transaxles, and Yokohama Tires. We couldn't win these championships without major support from you all... THANK YOU!

Video and info can be found here... www.ustcc.com. Although it may be a bit before they have the video up.

Well done team PDG.

Running car fresh after an incident is always tough. Great to hear that your fixes stood the test.

Ha ha nothing like finishing the car then loading it up and racing. I know how that feels! But that is all part of the fun.

Congratulations!
