Installed my new Ford 3:55 center section yesterday. After reading past posts about how tight the fit is, interestingly enough, I had the opposite. After pulling the front bolts down tight, I had roughly a 3/16" gap between the rear mounting ears and chassis mounting points. On the advise from ewardb, I then checked the fitting of the upper and lower control arms. Happy to say they fit perfectly. So, I have to assume that Ford has made a change to the rear aluminum center section cover, by reducing it's thickness. Problem easily over come with shims. Have a note off to FFR pointing this out to them. Given they will be supplying the same center section to everyone else, they will have to issue shims or think about changing the location of the rear mount.46689
