The powder coated swaged tube is too long, are we supposed to cut the powder coated tube about 3/4 - 1 inch on each side to install? Why don't you supply a 35 inch tube vs the 37 inch provided? Since you send it out for powder coating perhaps the two standoffs could also be powder coated in the future.

I have no idea what their intent was.
The stock mounting location was too high for our heights (and I'm 5'11"). If your seat was set high enough to make your shoulders at the right height, there's almost no way that your head would be under the roll bar.
Review your harness mounting instructions for belt angles, or Schroth if yours doesn't provide the data.

I cut the mounting tabs off, and welded them back on ~3 inches lower. The bar then fits, and you have the proper harness angles.

3 inches puts you just over the square frame tube... my stock seats are much higher, the slots line up pretty well with the bar location and are within the Schroth installation range. They also replicate the stock 3 point harness angles.

I'm not going to grind into a powder coated frame again.

I left off the lock nuts and was able to get it to work. The 2 rod ends were tightened snug. There is no movement at all like this.

Even without the nuts mine is about 3/8 too long, to use the lock nuts a 35 inch bar would work. My plan is to cut it 1/2 inch and use red locktite, hard to see why the lock nuts are needed.

can someone who is using the harness bar on the S post a photo of the clearance modification that they did for the engine cover to clear the solid rod end? I'm thinking it would save me some cut, install, cut/install iterations and give me an idea of the eventual shape needed

despite the early instructions and photos from FFR, the harness bar needs to go in front of the roll bar, so there should be no clearance issues with the engine cover.

Oops, that means I'll have to change mine.

I think the original intent was for it to go behind the roll bar (and if you think about it, this would be much better from a safety standpoint), but there was simply no clearance for the engine cover. If you manage to fit it behind and still get the engine cover to clear, all the more power to you.

Mine is behind and clears with the factory cutouts.
