A bit of a late notice as I didn't think to see if there was a K1 here before coming. I'll probably go there Thursday or friday evening. Any FFR guys around the area?

It was TX. I ended up going Saturday evening. I'm back home in Indianapolis now. The guy with the top time of the week was out there when I got there running 23.4 or 23.5. My first time out I got a 23.9. Guess that 40lbs I lost helped. Second time out I could only get low 24's. The kart was better the first time with slightly less traffic. I'd pass everyone, get a good lap going only to get blocked on the last hairpin. lol. I was actually surprised the tires felt sticky. Must have been relatively new.
Not my favorite K1 site, but fun nonetheless. It's one of the smaller ones so it was a handful of hairpins strung together but the back late apex into the slight chicane was fun. Only worked when the track was empty as the non competitive crowd (read, those without racing experience) tried to hug the inside then get stuck which ruined the late apex line. I got called for bumping when someone cut inside like that and stopped and I couldn't stop in time. oops
