Oil filter relocation

I have an oil filter relocation kit with my complete kit. Is it necessary to relocate the filter with a 351W? I don't have the engine in, but looks like there's loads of room.

I think you would use it if you use shorty headers with the j pipes (unless they have found some shorty headers that direct differently) . The reverse headers get in the way of the block mounted oil filter. If you go with the 4x4 headers then there is no problem using the OEM location. What headers did you order?

As you suspect, my 351 w/ 4 into 4 headers has tons of room. I wouldn't even consider the additional complication of a relocate kit.

Thanks. I have FFR ceramic headers. The 4x4 ones. OK looks like another surplus part from my complete kit!
