Waterfall install

Which is the best way to install the waterfall. Should it be cut-out around the door hinges or should holes be cut in the waterfall, so that the hinge goes through the waterfall. I have seen it both ways. I like the idea of cutting around the hinge because that way the doors do not need to be removed to remove the waterfall.

Any suggestion are appreciated

I would definitely cut it so you can pull it out without messing with the doors.
