Hi,
I have ordered my Coupe kit and hoping to receive it here in the UK late Nov-15, but interested in hearing from anyone who has built a RHD version.

Best regards
Ian

Always good advice Chris..."if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it"

I have have been recommended a custom RHD steering rack for the Coupe which was specified by Component cars in Australia, very helpful guy there (Chris) kindly provided the drawings and the details of 'Mavalgear' in the US that make them for him...again, they (Brandon) have been really helpful and are now making me one.

The first challenge i see is to weld the pedal box pieces to the frame...FFR normally do this on LHD but are leaving it off for me to do ... have you completed this already? Would be great if you could share any insight or pictures of what you have achieved in that respect?

All the best
Ian
BTW...what engine have you chosen for your Coupe?

make sure you run the numbers on bump steer.
With the rack that high I think you will be needing a bump steer kit.

Hi Ian, I am about to embark on my own RHD build.
I have spoken with a few of the guys from down here who have found locally available bits to convert their cars and will follow their lead.
FF have built mine in RHD and hopefully the steering will be my only challenge.
I have a 7ltr LS motor and 6 speed from a previous Cobra that met an untimely end that will motivate the coupe.
My car should be crated up this week with some luck and then be on its way down under, can't wait!!

hi gents.. dont get here much at all.. re bump steer, if you use the Flaming River RHD rack it apparently bolts right in.. otherwise a Subaru Liberty or WRX RHD rack works well, with a new set of mounting brackets.. :)

Bump steer was an issue with the Gen I.. truly ugly steering geometry, which was fixed for the most part with the Gen II. Gordon Levy did a Gen I bump steer kit, not sure re Gen II.. would check out for yourself if its really required before taking any steps. I Used a laser pointer and a chart on a piece of board to plot the bump steer for mine.. was about 3' on one side an next to 0 on the other. The engineer advised that a garden variety commodore was about 15 - 20 degrees.

Cheers
