Does anyone know if the rear shocks/springs are the same units as for the 3 link and 4 link?

You might get a quicker answer by going to the tech section and asking Jim Schenck

The IRS uses the same rear shocks as the front shocks, FFR# 33978, the rear coil-over are 300# in place of the 250#.

Your post about the rear springs being 250 doesn't seem right if memory serves. I dropped DOWN to 300 because the kit came with something stiffer and they were too harsh.
Where did you get that number?
For clarity, mine is a 4 link so I was answering for that rate

FFR just gave me some specs on the shocks, but not the springs.

Front 15.15 " EXT, 11.10" COMP, 4.05" stroke
Rear 17.63" EXT, 12.16" COMP, 5.47" stroke

The parts listed for the IRS come from the kit I just picked up Saturday morning.
Box 4D had FFR# 33978 Koni Front Shock 82-2610 and FFR#33976 400# coil-over springs.
Also box 4D has FFR#33979 Koni Rear Shock 82-2611 and FFR#33975 250# coil-over springs.

The 2015 IRS parts in box 3K have FFR#33978 Koni Front Shock and FFR#80597 300# coil-over springs.
Page 26 of the IRS Installation Instructions state "The Hot Rod IRS springs are 300lb. Other springs are available for different ride characteristics."

I'm just a rookie learning the specs as I start my build.

Something there doesn't sound right. you mentioned front shocks twice. I went online to Koni but I couldn't find a way to search for info from the Koni part number. My kit will be here in a few weeks. I guess I'll just wait to see what I get.

Yes, the IRS kit uses the same shocks front & back.
