Painting fiberglass

I've decided to use a spray on sound deadener/heat barrier on the inside of the body panels. I'm using DEI Boommat if you're wondering.

I've never painted fiberglass or really worked with fiberglass before. Do I need to sand the inside of the panels or will it be rough enough as is to provide a good painting surface?

Yes you do, a green scotchbrite or the more aggressive one.
