I am wondering if anyone has installed one of these as yet. I have the original dash from FFR but would like to have a Glovebox AND a heater. I do have the firewall forward kit which gives me about 3 1/2 " more clearance behind the dash.

No I haven't but I say go for it. There are other heaters out there. For instance I have two of these. Note the 3 inch dimension.

My first one I put in the passenger footbox hanging from the top. One hose to psgr side and the other to the driver side. Realized that wasn't enough so I mounted another on the firewall on the dash side a little to the right of center. It heats the driver while the original heats the passenger.

I have one of the new FF complete dash assemblies NIB with my recent kit delivery. Unfortunately, I'm not at home and won't be for over a week, so I can't give you a precise answer. But after looking it over, it's not any different than any of the other glove box options. I've installed a ********** and Alex's Custom Roadster glovebox on different builds, and the glovebox with the new FF dash is similar in depth. No big difference. In the end, it's still going to depend on the heater used, how it's mounted, and the firewall forward mod should help. The only glovebox options I'm aware of that are significantly different are the shallow options offered by Alex. The resulting glovebox isn't super practical and is pinned vs. hinged, but does give the appearance of a glovebox. More details here: http://acroadsterinteriors.com/Gloveboxes.htm
If you're still interested, or no one else replies, when I'm home on the 11th, I can get a measurement for you.

I have the heater and the wiper kit from factory five and the firewall forward kit from ffmetal. I am gonna probably put the dash in that came with the kit (no glovebox), and update later. I am going to make the dash removable with the body on to make it easier.
Thanks for input
