Radiator options?

I had originally planned on using the donor radiator from the 95 Mustang, but taking a close look at it the other day, I noticed there is evidence of leaking from the core and the fins look pretty beat up, not pretty in the opening of a new Roadster.

I have a few options to consider...

1. A new replacement radiator $109

2. A upgrade aluminum mustang SVE radiator $199

3. FFR radiator "is it worth it?" $299 ($450 kit)

What is everyone's opinion?

I've used it on all of the cars I have built and vote "yes". Do yourself a favor and couple it with a Breeze shroud:

IMO there are better options for overflow, hoses, etc. than what is included in the $450 kit.

I used the FFR radiator, Breeze shroud, kit fan and a Canton overflow with a Howe (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hre-3423/overview/) inline filler.

I do like the design of the angle inlet on the FFR radiator, who sells the Howe filler?

When installing the Breeze shroud with an FFR supplied fan did you use the enclosed aluminum circular pieces or it is bolted directly to the shroud?

Toss the circular piece into the scrap bin. May have some use some day... Cut a hole in the shroud to match your cooling fan, and mount it on the outside. I used nutserts so it would be easy to service, e.g. take the fan off if needed without having to remove the entire shroud. Pictured below. I too vote for the FF AFCO Racing radiator. I've used both -- Mustang donor and now the AFCO. Didn't have cooling issues with either, but it's a high quality piece. Although not personal experience, I've seen a number of threads where guys try to save a bit with different radiators, and have all kinds of issues. Do it right the first time.

I have a host of properly designed radiators for these cars. They can come with or without dual fans and shroud and you can add an optional built in oil cooler.
