distance from firewall

I didn't get any responses to my CNC location question, so maybe someone can just help me out with the distance from firewall to the edge of the hood opening on driver side. I am looking at maybe mounting the CNC there.

Just measured it for you. Mk4 with standard firewall location (e.g. NOT firewall forward mod) = 6.25 inches. Note this build does have the slightly thicker (.090) FFMetals firewall, so a standard (.040) firewall would be just slightly more. HTH
