4.6 4V Alternator NOT chargingq

I've got a 4.6 4v DOHC I've got a 97 cobra top end. So the issue is my alternator is not charging. I hav voltage to the alternator. The wiring is correct to my knowledge, I took alternnator although brand new to autozone to be tested. PASSED. Also in my harness I'm a not running a fuse able link...any help or ideas would be awesome, currently stumped

Sounds like your not getting power to the exciter wire. It needs 12v from the key switch to energize the field to charge. Could be a bad ground also.
