So, we're 2 weeks in on the build and the rear control arms were back ordered. We got them in yesterday and went to install them and the diff... only to find the mount points for the control arms are welded 1 & 1/4" too close together. So, back on a truck to MA or a welder is coming out.. I don't know which but yikes! Y'all were right about the straight jacket, but I guess I should've foreseen issues like this happening when I made the first order for the new IRS. (update 8/17: ) FFR is going to be shipping us a new chassis asap, we caught the 2nd coupe with IRS JUST before they welded the cross-member. Turns out it was just a forgotten 1" spacer on the jig. Good news is that we only had the front suspension on so we didn't lose too much progress. Thanks FFR for taking care of this for us!

Wow David that sucks. Hopefully FFR will make it right for you. They better check their jig.

Most likely you received a set from a different IRS, maybe from a different kit. They'll make it good, they always do!

That is a risk with being one of the first to get the latest and greatest, but hopefully you'll look back when it's all done and chuckle ... because it'll all be worth the little hassles.

I'm anxiously waiting for the backordered 2015 Mustang IRS control arms for my 20th Anniversary Roadster build. Hope to not have a similar experience, or there's some other explanation.

Already in the post but I'll copy and paste it here. "(update 8/17: ) FFR is going to be shipping us a new chassis asap, we caught the 2nd coupe with IRS JUST before they welded the cross-member. Still don't have an estimated arrival.
