View Full Version : 255/45R17 on Halibrand Replicas?

Time to start thinking about tires. I'm running the 17" Halibrand replicas for which the recommended tire sizes are 255/40R17 front, 315/35R17 back. The tire I want is not available in the 255/40 size but is available in a 255/45. The 255/45 is about 1/2" taller in the sidewall. Don't think this will cause any issues but don't want to find out the hard way, either. Anybody have experience with the 255/45s up front? Any rubbing or other issues to report? Thanks much.

I have 255/45/17 on the front of my MK3. No problems noted.

Yes, am running them in NITTO 555's
