So I'm sitting here reading the forums, and was thinking, ( Yes I know unusual for me) that we haven't heard anything from Dave Smith lately.

Yes I know that the man takes a vacation, something about family demands it, I guess, or the factory personal demands it. Has back to school to worry about. I get all of that, but he stated that he's going to do some high speed runs\events etc. So back to the original thought\question:

Where In The World Is Dave Smith, and is he having fun and not sharing with us? Do we need to put a BOLO out for him? :rolleyes:

It wouldn't seem right to just put his picture on the side of a milk carton when he's missing so I will throw out this challenge to the photo-shoppers on here.

Let's see a picture of Dave Smith on the side of an oil filter box or a Kool-Aid package, with the standard phrase MISSING have you seen this man?

It's a mixed blessing really
When he's absent something really cool is being developed, when he's here telling us about the new stuff and answering our million questions about it, nothing new
is being developed.

Was on two weeks vacation at family summer home in Michigan. Have also been really driving hard at ffr with 818 Coupe production issues, 818R track stuff, Anniv car shipments, training new mtls mngr, the usual FFR stuff and working towards getting the new car shipped. I'm back at work and I'll have a more comprehensive update on the 818C early next week. We are further along than I've been able to communicate.

Drove 960 miles each way with the jeep in tow. The F350 pulls it like its not even there.

The shores of Lake Michgan are some of the best kept secrets on the planet. Denise is from Whitehall, where my parents are from and every year we spend a few weeks at my grandfathers house. He passed away a long time ago but I enjoy being a caretaker of his place.

Dave I remember you said you went to Grand Haven Beach once. When I was a little kid we used to go there all the time in the summer when we lived in Grand Rapids.
