View Full Version : Build School
I'm off to build school next week. I made a conscious decision not to start (construction) work on the kit until I got back. However, in preparation, I'm scouring the manual and looking over parts to see what questions I want to ensure I ask. For those of you who have attended in the past - in hindsight - what questions do you wish you had asked that you didn't?

Enjoy the school and take lots of notes and photos, they will be priceless later in the build.

Don't know of any specific question I would have asked. I didn't try a few of the assembly steps instead watching others do them I regret that. As stated above you will have access to take pictures I found things such as the running and forming of brake lines were very helpful. Also they have a lot of information on third party parts. Bring mechanics gloves and jump in on assembly, especially in areas where you have doubts in your skills. It was a great three days.
I enjoyed the build school and the amount of information that you will get is amazing. I tried to keep good notes...but they were so-so but have been very helpful. More important is that I tried to take pictures of everything that I thought would be helpful...they have been and I wish I had taken more. A suggestion is to think of a way to point out specific items of interest in the picture.
Also, one nice benefit is you will get a copy of the latest manual. It has been helpful to have two hard copies of the manual.

I suggest you trade contacts with the rest of your build class. They will be a good resource and on a similar timeline so the kit and revisions will be very similar.
